NH Mikva Challenge Project Soapbox

Project Soapbox  is a public speaking initiative put on by Mikva Challenge in partnership with the NH Institute for Civics Education, that calls on young people to develop and deliver an original speech on an issue that matters to them. These powerful speeches have lasting, transformative impacts on classrooms, schools, and communities. Students come from across the state in Gorham, Groveton, Littleton, Pittsfield, Weare, and Henniker.

This winter, students will deliver speeches that answer the question:

"What is the biggest issue facing your community, and what should be done about it?”

First, students will give their speech in their classrooms. On Tuesday, March 9th, we will host a culminating state-wide virtual mainstage showcase for the 10 outstanding speakers who were chosen to advance.

We would be honored if you would consider joining us as a guest.

Thank you for supporting students and encouraging their development as engaged, thoughtful citizens and community leaders!

Our programs in action!

Thank you so much for your organization. I truly am most appreciative of the financial gift. This is such a rarity for teachers. In fact, finding a no-cost professional development can be a difficulty. You showed respect by providing a no-cost training, a delicious lunch, and a stipend. Thank you so very much. Looking forward to future newsletters and workshops! Thank you for helping teachers grow in their knowledge of a most important subject and cause: civics education.
