NH Civics empowers New Hampshire youth to embrace civic responsibility, fostering engaged participants who will strengthen and sustain our nation’s democracy throughout their lives.

Our mission is to inspire New Hampshire’s youth to understand and embrace the core values of our nation’s democracy, developing their ability to participate meaningfully. We achieve this by partnering with educators, schools, and communities to provide hands-on learning opportunities and programs.

We envision a New Hampshire that prepares young people to become informed, engaged, and civil citizens—ready to participate meaningfully in the democratic process, serve their communities, and thoughtfully evaluate the future leaders of our nation.

Where youth learn to balance individual rights with the common good, understanding not only what their rights are, but also the responsibilities that come with citizenship.

Where young people are equipped to disagree respectfully, guided by critical thinking, evidence, and a balanced perspective that extends beyond personal passions or partisan agendas.

Where every young person feels welcome, valued, and connected, and knows their voice will be heard when concerns are grounded in facts and evidence.
