Our Town/City

Part 1:
Following a review of the town’s history, students will fill in the first column of the KWL Chart with at least three facts of things they know about the town’s history.

Part 2:
Students will continue filling in the KWL Chart, with at least five facts, as they complete research on the town’s history.

Part 3:
Students will develop and ask at least two, proofread questions to a guest speaker.

Part 4:
Students will discuss the Constitution as the supreme law of the land and the basis for our form of government. Students will summarize how government works in New Hampshire, in general and in the city specifically.

Part 5:
Students will learn about the history of the city from its founding and growth, by listening to a guest speaker and asking at least two proofread questions.

Part 6:
Students will write a detailed report that includes the required elements and will edit their work and present it to the class.
