Advance Policy Work

Our nonpartisan agenda is focused on ensuring a rigorous, equitable and engaging civics education for all.

NH Civic Learning Coalition

The NH Civic Learning Coalition was created to improve and increase civic learning in New Hampshire. Established in June of 2021 with the support of New Hampshire-based grants, the NH Civic Learning Coalition was awarded national funding in 2022 from the respected Carnegie Corporation of New York through iCivics. Bolstered by this national endorsement to continue our work, this nonpartisan task force is comprised of over 40 educators, students, parents, and other stakeholders from across the Granite State.

The Coalition’s goals are to review relevant legislation from other states, establish an agreed-upon policy agenda and formulate a recommended timeline for advocacy. By 2026, the Coalition plans to be actively working with legislators and policymakers to shape and advocate for specific policies, with the hope of creating positive, lasting, and equitable change in the civics education arena.
